About the Artist
Marguerite has been drawing for as long as she can remember. Her love for portraiture began at age 12, sparked by an obsession with sketching her celebrity crushes — a hobby that quickly turned into a service, as friends lined up for drawings of their own.
She kept creating throughout her teenage years and went on to earn a BFA in painting from UMass Amherst. Since then, art has remained her way back to herself — a space for play, grounding, and expression. Painting is her meditation, her voice, her home.
Marguerite is drawn to the female form, elements of nature, and abstract exploration. She keeps a daily sketchbook as a space for joy and discovery — a place where many of her ideas are born before making their way to canvas.
When she’s not creating, you’ll find her exploring new countries, dancing at live shows, or spending time with friends and her cat, Claude Monet.
There’s a unique thrill in picking up a paintbrush and making the first mark on a canvas. It’s the start of a journey, a surge of excitement that grows as I dive deeper into the piece, feeling more alive with every brushstroke.
